About Us
Our History
- Manoj Motors (as we are known in Gujarat) was started in 1969 by Late Mr. Girish Mehta and Mr. Shailesh Mehta who migrated from Mumbai to start a retail store for JEEP spares.
- Since 1970 itself, Manoj Motors became synonymous to a place for original spares only.
- In late 1990s, Girish Mehta and Shailesh Mehta realised that other vehicles are now gathering market share and hence started wholesale distribution space with the distribution of ‘Ramon & Demn’ crown wheels & gears and ‘Supercircle’ Piston Rings.
- Abhijit Mehta joined in 1996 and he was instrumental in changing the business model from retail trading to wholesale.
- Indrajit Mehta joined the newly formed Manoj Motors Pvt. Ltd. (MMPL) (incorporated in 1998, after closing a host of small partnership firms) and took charge of diversifications.
- Started our 1st Branch outside Ahmedabad in Rajkot in 1999.
- Started our 2nd Branch in Surat in 2000.
- Started Manoj Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. in 2001 with a view of diversifying and de-risking our business.
Our Strengths
- Manoj Group now has a staff strength of more than 45 people.
- We have a Fleet on Street (FOS) of more than 12 people covering the length and breadth of Gujarat.
- We take immense pride in stating that our staff retention ratio is one of the best in this industry and we have many members who are more than 2 – 3 decades old.
- We have a network of more than 1,000 retailers across Gujarat.
- Our Single Price-policy has helped us in creating a name unparalleled with our competitors.
- All our processes in terms of orders, billing, claims and discounts are well defined and we have a no-divergence policy towards them.
- Internal audit forms a vey important part of all our processes, thereby eliminating the risk of errors.
Our Technology
- We have always been at the fore front of technology and all our accounting is done electronically since almost 1990.
- Again, it is a matter of pride for us that we were amongst the 1st in Gujarat to start fully computerised billing.
- We already have an app on Google Play store ‘Manoj Motors’ which is in the final stage after which most of our ordering systems will be online.
